Ride Report
November 18;
whodda thunk it? A beautiful day, and 12 riders. We pedaled away
from Haggen's in Arlington, following the flat Arlington - Stanwood
McClinchy route, adding on Mike Snodgrass' Logen Street extension.
The pace did pick up a bit beyond the advertised, but everyone had a
good time.
The receded waters allowed us to return via Norman Road, with swans
in evidence in the fields, and views of both the Olympics and
Cascades. Riders included Bill Lutterloh, Steven Hudspeth, Bruce &
Pam Deitz, Perry Walker, Pam Hallanger, Bob Nyberg, Roger Frost, Don
Sherrid, Dick Nicholson, and Dan & Elaine Scott.
Keep your bike handy because you never know; a late fall ride can at
times sneak between the raindrops to find sunshine.

Mike’s Letter gets more action
Subject: RE:
Bicycling 35 Ave. and 132nd St.
Mr.
Dahlstrom,
I met with
Snohomish County yesterday at the subject intersection regarding the
configuration of the bike lane...they agreed that it is not in the
correct location, particularly on the Mill Creek side of the
intersection.
The bad news is the work will not be done until the Spring due to
temperatures...we need warmer weather to properly apply the
"thermoplastic" striping and raised pavement markers. The County
will perform the work with their road maintenance crews.
I'll keep it on my "tickler" to ensure it gets done next Spring.
Again, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
v/r,
Tim
