Ride Leading and Coordination

Each month a volunteer Ride Coordinator has the job of trying to fill our weekend Ride Calendar for the following month. The coordinator contacts regular ride leaders, and will help new or potential ride leaders list and lead their first ride.

When you send in a ride to the Coordinator, please follow the format you see in the newsletter, and make sure to include the ride distance, pace and terrain rating (see chart on Rides page).

Ride leaders are encouraged to support each other’s rides by checking in with the Coordinator on dates to avoid double listings, especially rides at similar paces and distances. Club outings and special events should also be supported.

Ride leaders who list at least three rides in the newsletter during the year are invited to our annual  Volunteer Breakfast . Event rides and rides listed only on the website don’t count for ride leading credit.

The Coordinator for August rides is Bill Weber.
Send him your rides by July 16 to president@bikesclub.org.
People interested in leading a ride for the first time are encouraged to contact Bill for advice!

RIDE CHANGES

If you’re wondering if a ride is still happening in the pouring rain, or whether a new ride has been scheduled for a beautiful day, check out the “Ride Changes” section of our website.

This page is a great resource for last-minute happenings. Page down through the entries because sometimes new rides can get buried a bit.

Contact webmaster@bikesclub.org if you’d like to post something on the page
