May Ride Calendar

Weekday Rides

 

Mondays: 92nd Street Park - Snohomish – Everett. This 38-40 mile ride will be the Bergeron loop and will start at the Park at 92nd St and Mukilteo Speedway at 9:30 AM. It will follow the route Pier is doing 1/2 hour later, but at a social pace with a food stop. Horrible ugly disgusting weather cancels. Tuesdays: Sweetcakes Ride. Be at Stanwood Velo Sport ready to ride at 6:30 PM.  Pace is Social/ Moderate, Flat 14 mile route. Meet for pizza at Jimmy's after ride (bring money) This is a Cascade and Skagit Bicycle Club ride (need not be a member to participate)


Freewheeling Wednesdays:
These relaxed social paced 25/40+ mile rides with varied terrain happen every Wednesday, weather permitting. Next week’s route is chosen by the group at the lunch /food stop this week. Wednesdays: Everett Transit Center
: Starts at 6 PM for a high moderate/brisk paced ride over A/B terrain. Rides will cover 18 miles and up to 28 as the days get longer. There will be a variety of routes and rotating leaders.  Join Art, Bob, Pam and Tim for an optional after ride beverage and meal at a place near by. May 3, 10, 24, 28: The Alan Bergeron Loop
. Meet at 10 AM at the Harbour Pointe Evangelical Lutheran Church at 5425 Harbour Pointe Boulevard, Mukilteo (Web mappers point to wrong location across the street). Route: Mukilteo-Lowell-Snohomish-Everett 42 easy miles. Pace:social/moderate, terrain:A. On the 24th and 28th the ride includes Lake Stevens & Soper Hill (47 miles). Ride cancels for snow. Call Pier (425)349-5065 or email: fiorepg@gte.net 
 

May 7, 17: Whidbey Island in sunny weather. Meet at 8:45 AM at the Harbour Pointe Evangelical Lutheran Church at 5425 Harbour Pointe Boulevard, Mukilteo. We will catch the 9:30 ferry. Ride the south part of the island. 40 to 45 miles. Bring snacks In case of rain we will ride the Alan Bergeron Loop starting at 10.  Pace: social/moderate, terrain: B/C Call Pier (425)349-5065 or email: fiorepg@gte.net 


May 21, 31: Mukilteo - Sultan
- Mukilteo Meet at 10 AM at the Harbour Pointe Evangelical Lutheran Church at 5425 Harbour Pointe Boulevard, Mukilteo. Mukilteo - Snohomish - Monroe - Sultan - High Br. Rd - Connelly - Lowell-Larimer Rd. - Mukilteo. Estimated miles 70. Rain shortens the ride. Pace:social/moderate, terrain:A/B Call Pier (425)349-5065 or email: fiorepg@gte.net 


Wednesday, May 16: Ride of Silence. 
7 PM Start for this ~12 mile, 12 mile per hour ride starting at the Amphitheater at the north side of the County complex in Everett (Oakes Ave and Wall St.) At the same time, the Ride of Silence will begin in North America and roll across the globe. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. Details will be posted on the web site or contact Warren Bare at (425) 743-7593.
