Weekend Rides

 

Saturday, October 6th: San Juan Island Loop. Approximately 35 hilly miles around beautiful San Juan Island. Time permitting, we’ll visit Pelindaba Lavender Farm, Lime Kiln Point State Park, English Camp and Roche Harbor for lunch. This is a relaxed, moderate paced social ride with regroups at the tops of hills – ride the hills at your own pace. Terrain is A-D. The ferry departs Anacortes at 8:45am and from Friday Harbor back to Anacortes at 5:00pm, arriving in Anacortes at 6:25pm. Bring money for ferry and lunch, or a sack lunch, and snacks. Saturday - October 6th. Snohomish - Sultan - Snohomish.via: Monroe - Rainer Rd - Ben Howard - High Bridge Rd - Welch Rd. - Fales - Connelly - Springhetti - Snohomish. Bring snack. Starts at 9:00 in Snohomish at the Centennial trail.(On Maple before Pine).50 miles. Pace: social/moderate, terrain:B/C. Call Pier (425)349-5065 or email: fiorepg@gte.net

Sunday October 7th Lowell to Lake Stevens and return. 10 am start at Riverfront Park at the bottom of the hill in Lowell. Mostly flat; but a few small hills at a social pace. Hideous weather cancels. Approx. 35 mi. and a lunch stop at Neapolis in Lake Stevens. Ride leader Wendell Hultman (425) 353-2972 or wendellmarlene@verizon.net

Sunday October 14 - This 40 social pace mile ride starts at Gas Gasworks – I-90 TunnelWest Seattle Loop and More. Start at Gas Works Park at 9:30 AM with a food /Snack stop at the Alki Bakery. Sunday October 21 The Pumpkin Ride 11:00 Family ride on leisurely pace, mostly flat, distance is about 12 miles (6 each way), the ride will leave from Garfield park (2 blocks East of Walnut on 23rd St.) and go to "The Farm" pumpkin patch. Adults are encouraged to bring children, a ride back for the pumpkins will be provided. Rain will cancel. Ride leaders Thomas and Bill Weber. Sunday—October 28th, McCollum Park to Third Place Books.  ~35 miles with C terrain.  Start time is 10am.  Heavy rain  cancels.  Will stop for snacks at 3rd Place Books.  Will regroup as needed.  Social-moderate pace.  Contact Tim Wise 425-754-7916, tcjkwise@verizon.net

Use this chart and the ride description to determine if a particular ride is right for you. Don’t take on 50 miles when you haven’t done 20, but don’t be afraid to start out with us on a 20-30 mile ride if your butt and legs have handled 15.
