Club Bike Box and Trailer

Ready to travel with your bicycle? BIKES Club members can rent our sturdy bike box for airline travel or our BOB trailer to tow gear behind your bicycle. Cost is $5 for a weekend or $10 a week – basically, these are club benefits we want people to use. To arrange for rental, contact Kristin at (360) 658-2462 or another club officer.

RAPSody Volunteers

Thanks to Debby Grant, Kristi Knodell, Kristin Kinnamon, Shirley Slade, Mike & Terri Snodgrass, Doug Andrews and Steve Hudspeth for helping make the BIKES Club reststop at Allyn a friendly and tasty stop for riders.

Debby coordinated the food for the entire event, while Kristi was in charge of portapotties. Kristin did her best at marketing the ride.

October Newsletter Could Be Electronic Only
Newsletter editor Kristin Kinnamon will be biking in southern Spain in September. She will not be hanging out in Internet cafes doing the club newsletter via the World Wide Web.

So, the October newsletter may be an all-electronic version, with the Ride Calendar and other items posted only on our website.

An email will be sent to all club members (whose correct emails we have and whose servers don’t think we’re spam) reminding them that the “newsletter” is posted.

Please update your email address by sending it to  roster@bikesclub.org. Then add that address to your “this is not spam” list.

Looking Forward to Fall Meetings

BIKES Club of Snohomish County is giving away $75 tickets to the annual Bicycle Alliance of Washington Auction at our Sept. 13 and Oct. 11 meetings. Watch next month’s newsletter for a possible new meeting location in Everett, too.

We’ll also be discussing club officer and other volunteer positions at the meetings. Elections will be in October.

Is it time you got more involved? Sure, you don’t feel ready, but neither did we. The real commitment is a little time and a little caring about cycling in Snohomish County.

Is it in you?
