Frequent Rider Club

In case you didn’t pay attention to the Frequent Rider Miles totals in last month’s newsletter, congratulations are in order to Pier Fiorentini, who rode 4, 559 most club miles in 2007 – not only the most club miles for the year, but probably the highest club miles number we’ve had since we started the program more than 5 years ago. Warren Bare, a past top-miler, was less than 200 miles behind at 4,396.  Pier has agreed to continue as Miles Coordinator in 2008 so he can keep creating lots of work for himself.

Miles through

Ride Leaders: Don’t forget to send in the participant names and miles for club rides to Pier Fiorentini at ridermiles@bikesclub.org.

Club Miles for Club Members

The Frequent Rider Miles program is intended as a fun benefit of BIKES Club membership.
Ride 100 miles on club-sponsored rides, earn a club water bottle. Ride 500 miles, earn a club cycling cap, etc.
Miles reported for non-members who participate on club rides are tracked, but not shown in the newsletter.
Join the club and you, too, can be part of the fun!

Upgrade to the Ultimate Bicycling Accessory!

Show your love of cycling and help make the roads safer for everyone. Whether you're a competitive racer, daily commuter or recreational rider, the new Share the Road license plate is the ultimate cycling accessory. Transform your car into a bicycling billboard and remind others to share the road every time you drive.

Plus, when you buy or renew Share the Road license plates, you'll be helping the Bicycle Alliance of Washington advocate for cyclists throughout our state. And it's a tax-deductible donation for you!

[Note: the procedure for purchasing a personalized "Share the Road" plate is slightly different. Please see the Personalized STR Frequently Asked Questions to find out how to get yours.]

Already have a Share the Road license plate? Now you can personalize your plate instead of just being a number. To find out what you can put on your plate and how to get it, check out the Department of Licensing FAQ page.
