Miles through
Ride
Leaders: Don’t forget to send in the participant names and miles for club
rides to Pier Fiorentini at ridermiles@bikesclub.org.
The
Frequent Rider Miles program is intended as a fun benefit of BIKES Club
membership.
Ride 100 miles on club-sponsored rides, earn a club water bottle. Ride 500
miles, earn a club cycling cap, etc.
Miles reported for non-members who participate on club rides are tracked,
but not shown in the newsletter.
Join the club and you, too, can be part of the fun!

Minutes
Thursday February 7,
2008, 7pm – 9pm
Attendance: Warren Bare, Bill Weber, Mary Andrews, Dan Scott, Linda
and Brent Hunter, John Carlin, Debby Grant, Bill Lutterloh, Doug Andrews,
Mike Snodgrass, Tim Wise, Mike Dahlstrom, Bill Higley, Hatch McAllister,
Steven Hudspeth
Presentations by Debby Grant and John
Carlin:
Debby Grant presented slides and movie about the RAGBRAI ride (Registered
Annual Great Ride around Iowa). Also Debby’s loop ride in 2007 around
Indiana. John presented a movie about his 2007 Ride Around B.C. (British
Columbia Canada).
Discussions:
Bill W. reported that the head sweat bands for McClinchy were ready,
but the Great Harvest bread donations were still in progress.
· Warren
proposed that the bob trailer and the bike box be available to members for
free with a $40.00 deposit. Motion passed.
· Warren
said that the East Side Corridor rail and trail meeting is Saturday Feb 9 at
4PM at the Everett Transit Center
· The
Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) will host a meeting at Everett Public
Lib on Feb 21, at 3PM.
· Bike
to Work day is May 16. Kristin Kinnamon of CT is coordinating and needs
volunteers.
· The
Club proposed and passed motion to provide $500 for CT’s Snohomish County
Bike Trail map printings and $300 for children of school age safety pamphlet
printing.
The AAA (auto
club), has opposed amending school driver education to include bicycling
information.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
