From the President

It has been another busy month,  I have again accepted the challenge of  representing your interests as the club president. I would like to thank everyone for the supportive comments that were made regarding the work I have done the last two years.  A thank you to the officers that also agreed to assist me again this year is due.

Warren Bare, Vice President

Debbie Grant, Treasurer

Mike Dahlstrom, Secretary

Also, a huge Thank you and pats on the back are for some of my other helpers

Ride miles, Pier Fiorentini / Steve Hudspeth

Newsletter editor, Doug Andrews

Newsletter angel, Mary Andrews

Web-master, Tim Wise

This list would run on forever if I included all my helpers like Kristin (past president) and all the ride leaders that we depend on to keep the club moving.

We will be extending invitations to the volunteer breakfast /ride to the rest of you.

Healthy Communities Everett, will be presenting their plan at our club meeting on November 13th at the PUD Building (2320 California Street Everett, WA) I encourage all local members to attend this presentation.

Green Everett had a fair last month which drew a diverse audience to our table,  We received some great exposure at the event.

We met with Alta Planning and representatives from the city of Everett (See Article)

Then last on my list of items is a Pumpkin ride report.

October 18, A calm dry Fall morning (excellent day) three club members (Bill, Mary and Mike)  set out for a leisurely 12 mile ride. We stopped at The Farm on Riverview Rd. picked out pumpkins and placed them in Doug's truck.

The day was too nice to go back so we detoured the ride through Snohomish (8 extra miles), stopped for lunch at the Pie Co. then headed back on the River Road.  We made some stops to enjoy the river views and returned to Everett where Doug was waiting with our pumpkins.

It was a great day for a ride, sorry I didn't get to share it with more members.

See you on a ride soon

Bill Weber
