Sunday Saunter – Great Beginner to Intermediate ride.  1:00pm Centennial Trail (Arlington) 10, 25, 35 miles out and back, you can’t get lost!  Call ahead to confirm. Ride leader Rod McDonald (425-359-6710)

 

Monday Morning Motoring – July 5, 12, 26 - Arlington - 8am start (or earlier if weather is good), 50-100 miles, moderate-brisk pace, A-C terrain, stay together ride. Bring snacks, hydration, 2 tubes, pump and bike in sound condition.  Call for directions.  Also check the Ride Changes page for updates – ride length depends on weather (nice = long ride).  Rain cancels. AWW (Arlington Wednesday Workout) – July 7, 28 - Arlington - 9am start, 40-60 miles, moderate pace, A-C terrain, stay together ride.  Bring snacks, hydration, 2 tubes, pump and bike in sound condition.  Call for directions.  Ride leaders Rod McDonald (425-359-6710) and Rick Schranck (425-737-8445).   Also check the Ride Changes page for updates.  Rain cancels.

Wednesday Evenings - Everett Station Rides: Meet at the Everett Station for a 6pm start, 20 miles or more depending on group and conditions, high-moderate to brisk pace, A-C terrain. Weekend Rides

Saturday July 3 - Kitsap Peninsula Breakfast Ride.  This route is 35 - 40 miles, B-C terrain, moderate pace.  Meet at the Edmonds ferry terminal at 8:30am to take the 8:50am ferry to Kingston.  We’ll ride directly to the Farm House where you may indulge in breakfast or the daily pastry selection (mile 10).  The route will then take us thru Poulsbo and Port Gamble before returning to Kingston where we’ll try to catch the 2:30 ferry to Edmonds.  Rain cancels.  Ride leader Debby Grant debby@jaygrant.com or 206 353-0249.  Check the Ride Changes web page for last minutes updates.

Sunday July 11 – RALWCC - Ride Around Lake Washington CounterClockwise   Start at 8:30am at Tracy Own Log Boom Park in Kenmore. Foodstop at Gene Coulon Park. Bring snack or visit Ivars or Kidd Valley. Social moderate pace with regroups. 50 Miles. Heavy rain cancels. Leader Tim Wise (425-754-7916) tcjkwise@verizon.net.

 

Sunday July 18th: Cook Rd. Chuckanut Dr. Meet at I-5 exit 232 just east at the P&R south of the exit for a 48-50 mile ride. Bring lunch or buy across the street from the parking area as we will eat at the County Park on Lake Samish before looping over to Chuckanut Dr for the return. Rain may cancel and a map will be placed on the ride changes page during the week before the ride. Leader Warren Bare (425) 478-9594. Call for ride share possibility’s.  

 

Saturday July 24th – Explore Stevens Pass with a 30 to 35 mile, up and back total, trip on the old Cascade Hwy. This is about 3000 feet of climb over 16-17 miles on the old highway, we should spend little time on hwy 2.  I’ve not done this before so don’t know road conditions.  Reports are that the top 5 miles are old broken asphalt and gravel; I’ll be using my commuter bike with 28mm tires.  We’ll start at Skykomish high school.  Start time 10AM.  Bring a lunch or snack to eat at the top before a quick down hill roll back to the cars.  I’m planning an after ride snack at the Sultan Bakery for anyone who wants to join me.  Contact Mike Snodgrass 360-653-2384 – Rain cancels

 

Saturday - July 24 - Lake Stevens Tri Ride :we'll leave the Lake Stevens Library on Main Street promptly at 1 p.m. to start the first 28 mile loop of the hilly Lake Stevens 1/2 Ironman Triathlon route. The first loop we'll do at a social pace with regroups at hills and turns. The second loop will be done as fast as you can, with no regroups until we get back to the library. Maps/cue sheet provided. Saturday July 31 – Echo Lake – Seattle: A 9.00 AM Start for this Social/ Moderate 40/45 mile ride with regroups. Begin at 200th and Ashworth across from the Aurora Village Transit Center. We will head to the BG trail and from the “U” go along Lake Washington, through the I-90 bike tunnel and to Uwajimaya for lunch before returning along the waterfront, Ballard, Shoreline. Leader Warren Bare (425) 478-9594 and an update with a bike map will be placed on the ride changes page during the week before the ride. Steady rain cancels.

Ride leaders can simply send their ride ideas to the “leadaride” address, then the email will be automatically forwarded to that month’s ride coordinator.

 

All ride descriptions must be submitted before the 18th of the month.

 

Ride leaders are encouraged to support each other’s rides by checking in with the Coordinator on dates to avoid double listings, especially rides at similar paces and distances.

 

BICYCLE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL BIKE RIDES.
