Bike Everywhere Challenge (May) and Bike Everywhere Day (May 20th)

May is the month designated for the Bike Everywhere Challenge.  Do you want to get competitive about it?  Here are some resources available to get your bike riding juices going:

• National Bike Challenge:  A nationwide event uniting thousands of bicyclists and encouraging new riders.  It’s a free and easy way to challenge yourself, your colleagues, and your community to ride more while competing on a local, state and national level.

• Bike Everywhere Challenge: The 2022 Bike Everywhere Challenge happens annually around Washington State throughout the month of May.  It's a fun and free competition to encourage your friends and colleagues to experience firsthand the joys and benefits of riding a bike everywhere and any time, rain or shine!  Be recognized for your rides!

• Register (it’s free!) in the National Bike Challenge and join our Club/Group “BIKES Club of Snohomish County”.  Then you may enter all your bike riding miles (club miles and non-club miles) for each day you ride.  Your miles will be included in our BIKES Club statistics and compared with other Clubs/Groups.  Let’s show what BIKES Club can do!  You will also be able to explore the many options to compare standings with other clubs, riders, and regions.  It’s fun and free.  Note: there is a BIKES Club of Snohomish County team limited to the first 10 riders to join.  The BIKES Club of Snohomish County Club/Group allows unlimited members and should better represent who we are.

• Bike Everywhere Day:  Friday, May 20, 2022, is National Bike Everywhere Day.  In past years several organizations have organized a morning event across the street from the Everett Station (3201 Smith Ave).  BIKES Club has had a table with club information, promotional items, and people to talk to about bicycling.  Stay tuned for late breaking information sent via e-mail to members and in the event link on the Calendar page.  Get ready to come join the social festiveness!
