I am a retired ob/gyn who as a young adult used bicycles as a primary means of transportation. I would often hitch-hike with my bike, waiting for the occasional nice person with a pickup truck who would give me a ride. I've done a few centuries and fund raisers for Fred Hutch Cancer center since 2 of my daughters have had that diagnosis. I have let my bike riding lapse and my bike membership lapse but I hope to do better in 2026 as I transition from 73 to 74. I have some blockage in my carotids that they are watching, but nothing needing surgery yet. I hope to see you on group rides! My wife doesn't ride and has scoliosis pretty bad, but I hope I can get her into a limited walking program to help her as we drift into our sunset years...
