Ride round trip ride on the Tualatin Valley Scenic Bikeway in Oregon.

This expected to be a generally steady pace ride (12 – 14 mph) with frequent regroups. Total of 100 miles and 2,000 feet of gain spread out over 3 days of riding. Class “A” terrain.

4 nights of hotels, or 2 nights camping & 2 nights of hotel. Meals in restaurants along the way.

Foul weather or heavy smoke cancels.

RSVP to ride leader by Sunday August 5th. Hotel and camping options in Vernonia are limited.

Day 1 Sunday September 22nd:

• Drive ~188 miles to Vernonia, OR.
• Check into hotel, or camp at Anderson Park, in Vernonia for 1st night.
• Optional local afternoon exploration ride in Vernonia area.

Day 2 Monday September 23rd, 36 miles, 600 feet of gain:

• Tour starts 9 AM at the hotel in Vernonia.
• Cars to remain in Vernonia.
• Ride 36 miles, 600 feet of gain to Forest Grove, OR.
• Lunch in Banks mile 20 – 21.
• Check into hotel in Forest Grove for 2 nights.

Day 3 Tuesday September 24th, 28 miles, 400 feet of gain:

• Ride 14 miles, 200 feet of gain to Rood Bridge Park near Hillsboro, OR.
• Picnic lunch in Rood Bridge Park (plan ahead – no known nearby food options), or on the way back possible 1.5 mile each way side trip to bike friendly & organic Cruise In Country Diner.
• Ride back to Forest Grove 14 miles, 200 feet of gain.

Day 4 Wednesday September 25th, 36 miles, 1,000 feet of gain:

• Ride 36 miles, 1,000 feet of gain to Vernonia.
• Lunch in Banks (mile 17) or Manning (mile 21).
• Tour ends at the Vernonia Trailhead.
• Check into hotel or camp in Vernonia for last night, or leave if you want.

Day 5 Thursday September 26th:

• Drive home or wherever.
