Fir Island Flatlands and Estuary

Meet at the Conway Ball Fields (near the Muse, behind the Fire Station near the corner of Main and Spruce Street) on Saturday, May 22nd at 9:45 for a 10:00 a.m. rollout.

The ride will stay on Fir Island and wind through mostly low traffic farm roads (some along Fir Island Road, a bit busier, but with a good shoulder).  Frequent stops to enjoy the wildlife areas and some historical homes and barns along the way. We'll stop near the Skagit Bay Estuary, and picnic lunch at the shelter at the Skagit Wildlife park, (where there is a pit toilet available).

26 miles, social pace (10-11 mph) and A terrain, with only one short climb going over the bridge.

Ride leader:  Cindy Proctor

Rain or forecasted rain will cancel this ride.

No restroom at the parking lot (unless they put a portapotty in recently) so plan accordingly.

Bring a substantial snack or picnic lunch and plenty of water, as it will be a warm day.
