ANACORTES OPEN STREETS EVENT
SUNDAY , AUGUST 29 - 11 AM to 3 PM
MARK YOUR CALENDAR!- August 29, 2021, Sunday : 11AM TO 3PM, will be the resumption and 5th ANACORTES OPEN STREETS event.
Skagit Bicycle Club has been a significant supporter and participant for this ‘FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY” event. Commercial Ave, Anacortes is blocked from cars so visitors can bike / walk /roller skate/ skateboard / roller blade / ??, the 12 blocks of Old Town Anacortes among a variety of bike & pedestrian based booths and demonstrations, plus the local good food restaurants & Food Trucks of Anacortes.
SBC is supporting these Organizations and their booths:
-SBC Booth- Kids Bike Parade at 1 PM
-SBC Classic Bike Show- The largest Classic Bike Show in the region.

-Skagit Special Olympics w/athletes at the booth
-Safe Routes to School- Kids Safety Course & Kids Bike Decorating

-Anacortes Youth Mountain Biking Team and Trail Riders Association- Booth and rider demonstration area.
-Anacortes Robotics Clubs- Award winning robotics club booth with robot demonstrations.
-NW Tulip Trekkers- Volks walk event from The Market , Anacortes.
We encourage SBC members, their families, and friends to attend and participate in this fun event. Bring the kids and your bikes and cycle or walk the streets without cars and enjoy an afternoon among interesting people and activities. You will enjoy the “good energy” from the 2000 adults and kids who attend thru out the day.
