Social Pace - Fir Island Flats

Meet Tuesday morning at 9:45 for a 10:00 a.m. start at the Skagit Acres nursery center on the corner of Johnson and Frontage Road south of Mount Vernon.  We have permission (and I will double check) to park in their lot, and they may designate a special area for us depending on the group size.   Optional lunch inside the garden center cafe after the ride.

Route is about 24 miles, virtually all flat, with a small bridge getting onto Fir Island.  Social Pace - 10 to 12 mph.  Fairly low traffic rural roads, with some of the route along Fir Island road, which can be busy, but also has a good wide shoulder.
