Lake Washington Loop

Meet at Log Boom Park at 8:45am for a 9am start. Steady pace (12-14 mph on flats), A-C terrain, about 49 miles and 1900 feet of elevation gain.  Hills at your own pace with frequent regroups.  Ride leader Debby Grant, 206 353-0249.  Rain or definite rain forecast cancels the ride.

This is the traditional clockwise loop that heads south along the east side of the lake thru Kirkland, Bellevue, and Renton before heading north up the west side of the lake.  We skirt the Arboretum to avoid weekend pedestrian and auto activity.  The last nine miles of the route is on the Burke Gilman for an easy finish.  We could run into some construction detour near the 520 interchange.

First restroom stop is at Kirkland Marina around mile 8.  Then at about mile 22 we'll take a food/rest break at Gene Coulon Beach Park in Renton.  Bring food or buy (two fast food options are available).  Additional rest and restroom breaks available as needed at Seward Park, mile 30, and Matthews Beach, mile 45.

Might be best to park along 175th St outside Log Boom Park to avoid a four-hour parking limit problem.

This is the route unless we find a need to detour or alter: Lake Washington Loop
