Ride Name: Machias to Jordan Bridge and Doc's

The objective of this event is to go on a picturesque rural ride that finishes at Doc's Riverside Taphouse (formerly known as the Pilchuck Yacht Club)  for some refreshment. Doc's is a half mile before the end of the ride in Machias.

Meet at the Machias Station parking lot at 9:45 for. a 10:00AM start. Ride 42 miles on roads at a steadily moderate pace*. B terrain, traffic likely.  From Machias we will follow the Pilchuck north and cross the Stillaguamish on the Jordan Suspension Bridge.  We will stop for lunch in Granite Falls at mile 23, then continue South to Lake Roesiger and downhill to Doc's and the finish.

See the route on RideWithGPS here. No cue sheets will be provided, but they can be printed from the RWGPS site.

Regroups as necessary, climb at your own pace. Most of the rural roads on this route do not have shoulders so be prepared to yield to passing cars.

*The pace will be a bit more than steady, but the ride leader will not exceed the Moderate pace of 14 - 16MPH on the flats.

Steady rain/snow/excessive heat cancels. Check ride updates.

Group size set at 10 including ride leader. Bring snacks, flat repair equipment. Restroom stops depend upon availability of facilities. Class 1 and class 3 E-bikes are allowed on BIKES rides (per club insurance requirements).
