Barlow Pass Ride - Social Pace

Meet at 9:45 at the Verlot Ranger Station for a 10:00 a.m. start.  

Approximately 30 mile round trip from Verlot up to the Ice Caves picnic area and back.  Social pace 11-12 mph.  Regroup as necessary.  This ride is mostly gentle uphill on the way to the Ice Cave area, with a few short steeper sections, and mostly downhill going back, although expect some headwinds in the afternoon.  

Road is two lane rural highway with no shoulder, and there will be some traffic passing by.  Road is rough in a few spots, and a few short sections of gravel.  Pack plenty of water and a picnic lunch.  There is NO cell phone service out past the ranger station.  

Poor weather forecast or smoky conditions will cancel this ride, check ride updates before leaving if unsure.
