Conway/Fir Island - Social Pace

Conway/Fir Island Social Pace Ride

Tuesday, July 25th, 10:00 a.m.

Meet at the Conway ballfields (near the Muse and fire station) a little before 10 for a 10:00 a.m. roll out.  About 21 miles, social pace (10-11 on flats) low elevation route (except for the first hill going over the bridge).  

Route is on mostly low traffic rural farm roads, with a few miles along busier Fir Island Road, and across the narrow bridge over the river as we leave Conway. 

There MIGHT be a portable toilet at the ballfield, otherwise plan to make a stop at one of the gas stations going into town.  The Skagit Wildlife park and picnic shelter is closed for the summer, so we may plan to stop at the Snow Goose market for a brief snack break and make use of their restrooms.  

Be prepared with plenty of water/snacks/sunscreen.
