Steady Ride to Redmond (with a short section of gravel)

Tuesday, September 30th, 10:00 a.m. @ Blyth Park in Bothell

Meet at 9:45 for a "mellow" 26-mile steady ride on a combination of trail and road to Redmond.  We'll be on the Sammamish River Trail, Redmond-Woodinville Road (near the wineries) and along a 2-mile section of EastRail gravel trail.  Once it crosses 145 it becomes paved, this is the newer section of trail they just completed.

Restroom break at the Sammamish Landing Park, then back through Redmond along another newer section of trail that follows along the light rail station near the Town Center.  We will take a lunch break at Whole Foods.

This route is mostly trail with a short section of what can be a busy roadway, but with a shoulder.  The 2-mile section of gravel is hard-pack and most bikes have no issues navigating.  Flat terrain.  We will keep a "low steady" pace of 12-13 mph on flats.
