Centennial-Getchell-Red Barn w/side trips - moderate

Your ride leader: Neil Gilham 206-595-7074 neilski55@hotmail.com

Meet at the Centennial Trail - Getchell trailhead @ 9:45 AM. 10:00 AM departure, following a ride and safety briefing.

Moderate pace (14-16 mph). 39 miles. 1,000 feet of climbing (approx.)

The ride is mainly on the Centennial Trail, with two detours. One of the detours starts at Haller Park in Arlington (mile 26) and follows a grassy packed gravel trail for about one half mile. 28C or better tires is probably fine. I have not test rode this portion, but have walked it and deem it suitable for a short ride on on bicycle.

Expect some pedestrians on the trail. Mainly quiet trail and non-busy streets. One quick traffic circle crossing at SR 530 and Kraetz Rd.

The usual restroom stops along the Centennial Trail (Getchell, Arlington, Red Barn, and Haller Park)

No formal lunch stops planned, so bring your snacks for longer stops (Arlington, Red Barn). Likely coffee stop is the drive-through next to Nutty's Junkyard Grill.
