Meet location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/EerSCK4Vu935WQaF6
Moderate pace (14-16 mph). 34 miles. 1,600 feet of climbing (approx.)
The pace will be moderated for portions of the ride including on mixed use trails (Tommy Thompson, Guemes Channel, some sidewalks). Expect a few pedestrians (it's a weekday, though).
Restroom stops available along Tommy Thompson Trail, Kiwanis Waterfront Park (?), Guemes Channel trailhead, and Washington Park. Porta-potty at the park & ride.
We'll have two nice view stops - Cap Sante and Washington Park overlook. We may stop briefly along the Fidalgo Bay trestle in the event of interesting birds seen. I'll have a pair of compact binoculars.
No formal lunch stops. Bring snacks for longer rest stops at Cap Sante and Washington Park overlook. We can make a stop at The Donut House (mile 28) by group request. Moka Joe Coffee is directly across the street from the park & ride meeting spot. You can amp up before the ride, or a get post ride coffee, or both.
Bring at least the minimum to handle a flat tire and make minor adjustments.
