Skagit Airport - Samish Island Mod Ride @ 10 AM

Meet at 9:45 AM for a 10 AM rollout from the Port of Skagit County building parking lot at 15400 Airport Dr (west of Burlington), in front of the Skagit Regional Airport terminal, 700 feet west of the Chuckanut Brewery South Nut Taproom. Restrooms are open.
Moderate (14 – 16 mph) to brisk (16 - 18 mph) pace expected. 43 miles, 1,200 feet of gain, A/B terrain. Mid-ride breaks. Outdoor lunch stop in Edison at the Mariposa Taqueria, The Old Edison restaurant, or other convenient eatery.
This ride is a loop from Skagit Airport to the beach at Bay View State Park (mile 6), then an out and back ride to a loop on Samish Island, then to Edison for lunch (mile 27), then on to Blanchard, Bow and back to the finish. Roads are mostly the Skagit County paved country type with a couple miles of Chuckanut Drive / SR11.
This route may have tight turns and short sections with narrow gravel paths and is intended for 2-wheel road or gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.
