Spada Lake Mod Ride @ 10 AM

Ride leader Rick Proctor 425-293-3153, BikeHound@comcast.net.

Register by 8 PM evening before the ride if you intend to go.  Group size limited to 8 club members including the Ride Leader.

Meet at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM roll out at Mountain View Park at Marguerite Ln & Dogwood Ct in Sultan.  Restrooms available.

Moderate (14 – 16 mph) to brisk (16 - 18 mph) pace expected.  31 miles, A/B/C terrain with about 3,100 feet of elevation gain.  Frequent regroups.  This route has about 20 miles of paved roads and about 11 miles of hard pack gravel.  I expect to ride my gravel bike.

This is an out-and-back ride on paved and gravel country roads to cross Culmback Dam which forms Spada Lake for hydroelectric power and drinking water for Everett and other communities.  We will stop to register at Olney Pass for entrance into the Jackson Hydro area owned by Snohomish County PUD.  Planned stops include Olney Pass (mile 13 & 18), Culmback Dam (mile 15), and North Shore Rec Area (mile 16).  Other rest stops as desired.  There is no food, drinking water, or cell phone services on this route, so bring enough water, snacks, and a picnic lunch for the day.

This route will have tight turns and paved & gravel roads and is intended for 2-wheel gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.

Foul weather or other awesome event cancels, check your e-mail or text for ride updates.
