Mill Creek & Redmond via Bike & Rail @ 9 AM

Please register by 8 PM evening before the ride.  Group size is limited to 8.  

Meet 8:45 AM at Mill Creek Sports Park for a 9:00 AM roll out. 

Moderate (14 – 16 mph) to brisk (16 - 18 mph) pace expected 29 miles, 1,300 or so feet of gain A/B terrain. Mid-ride breaks.  Plus, a trail ride!

This loop ride is from Mill Creek Sports Park to Lynnwood Light Rail Station (1st route), then a 2 Line Light Rail train ride to Redmond (1 hour & 18 minutes), then we'll ride our bikes back to Mill Creek Sports Park.  Coffee / lunch at either Beardslee Starbucks (2nd route mile 9) or Mill Creek Frost Bakery (2nd route mile 20).

We'll ride the Sound Transit 2 Line from Lynnwood to Redmond.  You must be able to hang your bike by the front wheel on a hook in the rail car.  Then find a comfortable seat and sit back and watch the scenery.  Bring your Orca card.  The train cost is only $1 (one buck) for seniors, and $3 for 19-64 year-olds.

  • #1 Ride With GPS link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55418687 "Mill Creek - Lynnwood Station by RAP".  8 miles and 400 feet of gain.
  • #2 Ride With GPS link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55383434 "Redmond & Mill Creek by RAP".  21 miles and 900 feet of gain.
  • It is recommended all riders have these routes with them in either paper or electronic form, or good knowledge of the area, in case of separation from the ride leader.

This route may have tight turns and short sections with narrow gravel paths and is intended for 2-wheel road or gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.
