Verlot to Barlow Pass
Meet across from the Verlot Public Service Center, Mountain Loop Highway east of Granite Falls at 10:15 for a 10:30 start. Ride 19+ miles to the gate for Monte Cristo (at Barlow Pass) and return. Regroups as necessary. Stop at the Ice Caves picnic area on the return for lunch/snacks. Approximately 39/40 miles, STEADY pace. Out and back on the paved highway; you can't get lost.

Bring snacks, water, lunch. No services. Bathrooms usually available at the start, vault toilets at Big Four picnic area. Bring a jacket or other layer for the descent.
