Lake Samish High Steady Ride

Meet at the Chuckanut Park & Ride in Burlington at 9:45 for a 10:00 rollout.  We'll be using Rick Proctor's Lake Samish route that is about 40 miles and 1,200' of elevation gain.  Pace on the flats will be high steady and sometimes low moderate.  Hills, both up and down, are at your own pace with re-groups following.

Bring snacks, water, and lunch.  There is a questionable Honey Bucket at the start, but a real bathroom at mile 18 where we will take our lunch break.  Water is usually available at the lunch stop.  (It wasn't last time, so probably best to bring enough for the whole ride.)

This is a ride on paved public roads - which means the inevitable holes, cracks and debris.  Bring the usual fix-it stuff - especially flat repair type fix-it stuff. We try to pick bike friendly streets, but you will be sharing the road with traffic. All riders should be familiar with the club's Ride Safety Guidelines.  In addition, E-Bike riders need to be familiar with the club's E Bike Policy.  In spite of paved roads expect short sections of gravel (parking lots, etc.)
