FIR ISLAND - Social Pace
Wednesday, July 1st - 10:30 a.m.
Meet at the Conway Ball fields near the corner of Main Street and Greenfield at 10:15 for a 10:30 rollout.
This is a 21 mile, Social Pace (10-11 mph on the flats) mostly flat, low traffic rural farm area, with one bridge to climb at the start and end of the ride. There are some areas where the traffic can be busier, but will have a good shoulder.
There is NO bathroom at the start, plan accordingly. (Shell station as you come into town). About mile 15 we will make a bathroom stop at the Skagit Wildlife Area trailhead (this is about 1/2 mile of gravel roadway to get there), or we might stop at the Snow Goose.
Bring water and snack. Be prepared with tools to fix flats, or a backup plan in case of mechanical or emergency. Riders please be aware of our club policies for e-bikes and joining our rides.
