WHITEHORSE TRAIL
Tuesday August 4th 9:30 am Miller Shingle Trailhead off Highway 530
Meet at 9:15am for a steady pace ride to Darrington on a gently inclining gravel path. The forecast says it will be warm, so we will take advantage of the shady trail and stay off the pavement. The pace will be 12-14mph, slow enough to enjoy the scenery and take a few pictures, but hopefully, fast enough to beat the worst heat of the day. The route is about 35 miles with a planned stop at Bespoke Cafe in Darrington. We may add a few miles to check out the Sauk River while we are in the area.

Poor air quality will cancel the ride, please check Ride Updates the morning of the ride before you head out.
Hydration will be important! Please bring adequate water, electrolytes, etc. as well as snacks, as there will be no opportunity to refill bottles along the way. There is no bathroom at the start, but a porta-potty at mile 5, the Oso Memorial site. Bring what you will need to repair a flat tire or deal with a mechanical issue.
