WHITEHORSE TRAIL

Tuesday August 11. Meet at 9:45 am Miller Shingle Trailhead off Highway 530. No bathroom at start, vault toilets at the 5 mile mark.

Roll out at 10:00 for a steady pace ride to Darrington on a gently inclining gravel path. It’s a shady trail, a bit rougher than the SVT.  I recommend 35 or wider tires for comfort. The pace will be 12-14mph, slow enough to enjoy the scenery and take a few pictures. The route is about 35 miles with a few additional paved miles past Darrington for views of the Sauk River. Then a planned stop at Bespoke Cafe in Darrington. Total distance ~40 miles.

Riders should be aware that though we try to pick quiet streets and roads, you will be sharing it with traffic. You should have the equipment to repair a flat on your bike. Steady rain/snow/excessive heat or smoke cancels. Check ride updates.

Group size set at 10 including ride leader. Restroom stops depend upon availability of facilities. E bike riders are responsible for knowing the BIKES club E bike policy found on our website.

All Riders should be familiar with our Ride Safety Guidelines.
E bike riders need to be familiar with our E Bike Policy.
